Exotic Japanese form. Magenta guard petals with a ring of toothed pink staminodes surround an inner tuft of magenta petals. With aging the petals transform to pink with silvered edges. Very flamboyant and distinctive for the serious peony collector. Late bloom time. Difficult to find in commerce and usually much more expensive than we list here. (2-3 eye)
