Daylilies

Differing from true lilies, Daylilies have a more bushy growth habit and grow from fleshy roots, rather than bulbs.

Daylilies flourish in virtually all regions of the country. Daylilies are very useful landscape plants due to their capability for extended or repeat bloom (even non-stop bloom in certain cases). In addition they have an indestructible low-maintenance constitution, withstanding a variety of adverse situations, ranging from heat, cold, wet, and dry spells. The foliage itself is of ornamental value in the landscape, some even being evergreen or semi-evergreen in certain climates.

Our selection includes some of the newest, the most exciting, and the best-performing varieties on the market today. Once viewed as the lowly "workhorse' of the garden, the new generation of daylilies are now quite exotic in appearance, some even carrying a nice fragrance, for further appeal among collectors. The old "weedy" types are being replaced with more compact, heavier-blooming, and more garden-worthy types, quite refined in appearance and growth habit, and less apt to sprawl and take over your garden. Items listed in our repertoire include some that recently have sold on E-bay (and other specialty daylily sites) in the $50 range. We believe our low pricing to be unrivalled anywhere, for such distinguished and high-demand varieties.

You may notice a tendency for our prices to drop from one year to the next as production increases. The good news for the gardener is that Daylilies can TRIPLE in root mass each year, making them ideal for dividing and propagating for your own purposes. An initial investment can really "put you in business" quickly in landscaping terms. Recommended for USDA zones 3-10.
