Selections in this group are July-bloomers, bearing intensely-perfumed funnel-shaped flowers on towering tree-like stems. Our selections are generally seed-grown STRAINS, which minimizes chance of virus transmission in propagation. Not all specimens within a strain are identical, but will be very close to the description. Flower orientation tends to be outward or downward within the group. Trumpets typically do not reach their full height and flowering potential until the second year, but it will be well-worth waiting to see these magnificent colossal stems at their zenith.

Our Standard bulb circumference for trumpets is a huge 18/20 cm, which will give the gardener a show of flowers the first year. (not always the case for smaller bulbs often in retail distribution channels). Recommended for USDA zones 4-9.
